Bubble & Brown Bakery is the startup vision of Pastry Chef Andrew Young, and a team of foodie fanatics, determined to bring fresh, seasonal, and delightful baked goods to the communities of Salt Lake City, UT.
Founded in January of 2014, our bakery is the culmination of Chef Andrew's 15 years of professional experience in the culinary industry. We practice classic European pastry techniques, borrowing from traditional British, French & Latin cuisine for our inspiration. We take a casual, rustic approach to our baked goods, focusing on the quality of each and every product, never settling for "just ok". Be it a unique idea in a classic flavor, or a classic idea in a unique flavor, we enjoy the craft of baking and pastry, and are excited to share our passion with you.
As a "Market Exclusive" bakery, what we lack in a brick-and-mortar retail space, we make up for with our ever-changing, from-scratch made treats, tarts, and tea cakes - baked fresh before every market, and made with as many locally produced ingredients as possible.
As a graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Chef Andrew has worked for high-end resorts, hotels and restaurants throughout the west coast, including the Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad, CA and the acclaimed Fairmont Olympic Hotel in downtown Seattle. Growing up surrounded by good food and great family, Andrew has been baking and creating decadent pastries and baked goods from the age of 14. Taking lessons from his Grandma Jean, he began decorating and assembling wedding and novelty cakes throughout Jr. high and high school; becoming a go-to resource for custom desserts for teachers, friends and family alike.
As part owner and head of marketing, Brady brings his amazing talent in the field of Graphic Design and Marketing to the Bubble & Brown Bakery team. His passion for fine foods and delicious pastries made him a perfect match for the vision of what the bakery team hopes to achieve. When not designing, Brady enjoys taking in the local Utah mountains beautiful scenery, with hiking and climbing during the spring and summer, and snow shoeing during the winter.
As a local Utah small-business, we do our part to support the local business community, by purchasing our ingredients and goods from as many local entities as possible. From fresh, seasonal peaches to locally grown walnuts, our list of farmers, vendors, and small business partnerships is constantly growing.
At Bubble & Brown Bakery, we love to highlight all that our ever-changing seasons have to offer; keeping our menu fresh, seasonal, and unique!
With sweet berries in the spring, to crisp apples in the fall - our menu is always changing to ensure you receive the best tasting treats we can produce.
We purchase locally grown fruits, vegetables, and grains to keep our products as "in-the-moment" as we can. And use only pesticide-free, organic, and non-gmo, when available, so you know just how much we care about your Bubble & Brown experience.
